FAQs

Dr. Justin Misko is Nebraska’s most experienced physician in hair restoration. He has over a decade of experience in hair restoration and has transplanted over one million hair follicles to date. Dr. Misko is part of the process from start to finish. From the moment you come in for your consultation to the day of the procedure, he is there every step of the way. At other clinics, you might consult with one doctor and the day of the surgery see a different one. At JMISKO, we care about each patient and their individual needs. Because of that, is what separates us from everyone else.

One of our most asked questions is about cost. This really depends, it is hard to be able to give an estimate of cost without seeing the patient in person. By scheduling a hair consultation with Dr. Misko, you will be able to discuss all transplant options, costs and how many grafts will be needed for a successful hair transplant. Typically, the more hair grafts you get transplanted, the less cost per graft you will be charged.

Another factor when it comes to cost is which transplant option you’re getting. Whether its robotic, FUE, or Strip, each transplant option varies in cost.

Although we prefer consultations done in person, we do make special requests for out of town folks that consult with Dr. Misko over the phone. Be prepared to send multiple photos from all angles to us before or after the consult so Dr. Misko can determine how many hair grafts are needed for the transplant.

Depending on your overall goals, budget and time allowed for recovery all factors into which option is best suited for you. Once again, the best way to determine which option is right for you will be to schedule a consultation to go over options.

Yes. Female hair loss is quite common. It’s estimated that 20 million American women currently experience some degrees of female pattern baldness. Though women typically lose hair in a different pattern than men do—often thinning behind the hairline—the treatment procedure is similar for both.

Depending on the transplant you’re getting you may or may not have scarring. If you’re getting a FUE or ARTAS Robotic procedure, you will have minimal to no scarring. But, if you are getting a FUT/Strip procedure, there will be a linear scar In the back of your head that can be covered by longer hair.

Yes. We have done eyebrow, eyelash, beard and mustache transplants. Pretty much anywhere there could be hair, we could do it.

We have multiple options for preventative hair loss options, including: Prescription medication, topical hair loss products, LLLT (Low Light Laser Therapy) and PRP/Stem Cell.

Although patients are administered local anesthetics and other medications, the degree of pain or discomfort experienced during or after the procedure varies according to the patient. We may supply patients with medication to use after the procedure, if needed. Many of our patients find that they do not need to take any medication at all after their hair transplant procedure. Your comfortability is of up-most importance.

For the vast majority of patients, virtually all transplanted hair lasts a lifetime. In some cases, a small percentage of transplanted hair may be lost as the patient ages.

Yes. Dr. Misko will place all hair grafts by hand, always. Even if the Robotic option is selected and has the capability to place grafts, Dr. Misko chooses to place all the hair grafts himself. The technique he uses has a natural-looking result in mind.
